Sticks Contemporary was an artist-led gallery on Hampshire’s south coast.  A project of Live Art Local CIC it ran over 2 main sites and multiple other use spaces from 2015 until 2021.

Here’s a taste of what we’ve accomplished over the last few years

Parented by not for profit artist-led organisation, Live Art Local CIC we seek to engage everyone with contemporary art and to improve opportunities for artists to share their work.  Through our aim to make the arts accessible for all we run workshops and events for the community at various times throughout the year.

Getting Here:

ROAD:

Please do not stop when your Sat Nav will tell you and continue to drive until you see the old police station if following this route.

We are right by the town centre and can easily be reached by following the A32. 
If you are coming from further afield please use the M27 and come off at Junct 11 onto the A32 and follow to Gosport.

We are to be found in Gosport Precinct just off the high street.  If driving follow Forton Road and continue driving past the ferry until you reach the Coates Road Car Park, we are a 1 minute walk down the road.

PARKING:  
There is parking opposite the precinct for Blue Badge users on South Cross St alongside the closed police station.
There is parking outside the gallery in the short stay layby
There is parking a minutes walk from the gallery in the Coates Rd car park.

TRAIN:

If coming by train please travel to Portsmouth Harbour and then take the Gosport Ferry.  We are about an 8 minute walk from the ferry.

BUS:

From Southampton X5
From Western Wards X5
From Portsmouth 
From South Downs SD5
From Fareham and Portchester SD5, 9, 9A, 10, 11, 

Walk:

We can be reached by walking through the town centre and turning down South Cross St.  Continue past the tattoo parlour and you will see the Gosport Precinct in front of you.  Turn into the precinct and we are on your left 5 units in.
